Making a hilariously bad bedroom a little better

Not only am I into shitbox cars, I'm also into shitbox houses, my wife and I recently purchased an absolute fixer upper on a bit of property and, adventuresome as we are, moved right in without fixing any of its host of issues.

The place is a basket case, but since we are living here while we do some fixing, we wanted to have one spot that wasn't quite as bad as the rest to live in while we do upgrades. Decided to do a real landlord special coat of paint to make it look a tiny bit nicer, here's a couple before pics
We have:
Ceiling fan missing a blade
Awful wood paneling with a wallpaper accent wall
Lino
Phew.
Let's slap a coat of primer over everything.
And, wife's choice for colour, light blue, ceiling included because we are the opposite of talented painters.
A rug to cover up the lino, a low profile light fixture to replace the ceiling fan, and it's homey enough to be a small spot of peace in the chaos of the house.
Total renovation cost to date: $220 in paint, supplies, and light fixture.
